Sai Club wins opening tie of KPs T20

JAMMU: With the help of Arvind’s all round performance, Sai Cricket Club (SCC) outplayed Rajiv Samir Cricket Club (RSCC) in the opening match of the First Pink Ball Cricket Tournament for KPs 2016 being organized by Krish Sports and Events, here on Monday.
SCC defeated RSCC by four wickets. Batting first, RSCC could not face bowling attack of opponent and was bundled out for 95 runs in 15.4 overs. Rahul (22) and King Ji (20) were the main scorers. For SCC, Arvind was the wrecker-in-chief with three important wickets followed by Veeru and Munna, who picked three and two wickets respectively. In reply, SCC chased the target by losing six wickets. Munna and Arvind were the top scorers with 33 runs each. For RSCC, Dileep clinched two wickets while Jai took one.
For his all round performance, Arvind of SCC was adjudged Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by rakesh and rahul as umpires and fiaz as scorer.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Vijaya Bakaya, ex-MLC, who appreciated the organisers, Sagar Sadhu and Ave Kachroo. He said that sports activities keep the young generation physically and mentally fit and also keeps them away from drug abuses, besides promoting peace and harmony.
President, All State Kashmiri Pandits Conference (ASKPC) Ravinder Raina, Satish Koul and Ravi Raina witnessed the match as Guests of Honour.
