DODA: Sahil’s all round performance with 55 runs and one wicket guided Young Star Cricket Club Ghat team to registered their win by Royal Strikers Kolkatta by 132 runs in the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 being held at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier Royal Strikers after winning the toss elected to bowl first. While batting, YSCC Ghat set a target of 189 runs for the loss of six wickets in 18 overs. Sahil played an inning of 55 runs while Gourav and Bandeep contributed 32 and 31 runs respectively. For RS Kolkatta, Puran and Reshab shared two wickets each.
In reply, RS Kolkatta team could not manage to chase the target and was bundled out for just 57 runs in 13 overs. S. Mondal was the top scorer with 21 runs while Suraj Panday made six runs.
For YSCC Ghat, Sajjad bowled a fine spell and took three wickets while Bandeep and Sahil shared one each.
Sahil of YSCC Ghat team was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Chief Guest, Ishtiaq Ahmed Wani, Sr BJP Leader along with Advocate Naveed Wani.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jajuriya, Rinku Bhaduria and Ashok Sharma.
