Sahai represents J&K at International Engineering Trade Fair held in Brno, Czech Republic

JAMMU: Rahul Sahai, the Chairman of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu Chapter, recently represented Jammu & Kashmir at the prestigious International Engineering Trade Fair held in Brno, Czech Republic. During his visit, he had the honor of meeting Petr Fiala, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.
Their discussion focused on exploring potential avenues of collaboration between the two regions, particularly in the engineering and technology sectors, where both parties see significant opportunities for growth and development.
In addition to his meeting with Prime Minister Fiala, Sahai engaged with several high-ranking officials and business leaders, including Ing. Lukas Vicek, the Minister of Industry and Trade; Jan Michal, the CEO of Czech Invest; Michalis Busios, Project Director of BVV Trade Fairs Brno; David Muller, Director General of the European Union and Foreign Trade Section within the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Petr Jaros, who oversees the Department of Africa, Asia, and Australia; and Pavel Cap, Project Director at the Association of Engineering Technology.
During these high-level meetings, Sahai extended formal invitations for these dignitaries to visit Jammu & Kashmir, emphasizing the region’s potential as a hub for industrial growth.
He specifically highlighted opportunities in manufacturing, automotive parts, and packaging materials, pointing out that Jammu & Kashmir offers a robust Industrial Policy that provides numerous incentives for foreign investments.
Sahai urged the Czech delegation to consider sending representatives from their Industry Department to explore collaborative efforts and investment possibilities in Jammu & Kashmir.
He expressed appreciation for the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who have been instrumental in fostering an environment conducive to investments, particularly in the manufacturing sector in Jammu.
