SRINAGAR: General Secretary National Conference Ali Mohammed Sagar had a tough time on Friday to pacify a few agitated workers who created scene outside Nawai Subah complex in protest against ignoring their candidate in the final list released in the afternoon.
The workers wanted a particular candidate from their constituency which did not figure in the list. Sagar was heard telling the workers that the party has taken conscious decision after going through a strenuous exercise and hoped that the cadre will galvanise around the contesting candidates to ensure their magnificent victory. He said National Conference is hopeful about a clear mandate so that Jammu and Kashmir gets a strong and stable government to meet the challenges on various counts.
