RAMBAN: An amount of Rs. 8. 16 crore has, so far, been disbursed among the flood hit families of the district.
In addition, Rs 2.50 lakh have been utilised for the convenience of the stranded passengers, vehicles and for temporary camps arranged for the passengers who traversed through the district during and after the flood days. Besides, Rs 7.70 crore have been released for restoration of damaged infrastructure in the district.
Deputy Commissioner has issued strict instructions to the officers to expedite the assessment and finalisation of cases under relief and rehabilitation.
Almost all the roads and water supply schemes of the district which were damaged during the devastating floods have been restored temporarily and the concerned departments have been pressed hard for making efforts for restoring the same on permanent basis. The efforts are on to provide help to people in every respect especially in view of approaching winter season.
