ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mr. Tasdaduq Jeelani on Friday stressed for early completion of relief and rehabilitation process in the district so that people can rebuild/ reestablish their houses/ business establishments before ensuing winters.
DDC was reviewing the progress of relief work in the district with all the concerned Revenue and Technical experts.
All the Tehsildars, Executive Officers, Engineers and nodal Officers attended the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that cases of 892 Fully damaged pacca houses,238 Fully damaged Kacha house , 2334 pacca severely damaged, 220 Kacha severely damaged, 6113 partially pacca houses, 872 partially Kacha houses,44 huts /sheds, 1469 cowshed have been sanctioned relief by the district Development Commissioner.
Revealing the details, it was given out that an amount of Rs. 5.34 crore for 713 fully damaged pacca houses, Rs. 27.98 lacs for 159 severely damaged pacca houses,1.04 crore for 833 pacca severely damaged houses, Rs. 7.86 lacs for 207 severely damaged Kacha houses, Rs.33. 89 lac for 892 partially pacca houses, Rs. 3.28 lac for 143 partially kacha houses , Rs.69 thousand for 23 huts Rs. 6.84 lac for 456 cowsheds have been released so far while the distribution for remaining sanctioned cases will be completed within coming day.
It was also revealed that the process of re-verification of the referred cases by complaint cell and different committees formed for the purpose will be completed within a couple of days and the distribution of requisite monetary provision will follow.
DDC directed all the concerned officers to speed up the process of verification so that the relief and rehabilitation process is taken to the logical conclusion and every needy is provided with the basic necessities keeping in view the coming winters.
