Rs 24 cr heroin case: Intelligence agencies grilled 3 drug peddlers; raids continue in Punjab

JAMMU: In Trikuta Nagar Rs 24 Cr heroin case, the intelligence agencies interrogated the three main accused on Thursday wherein attempts were made to find out about the drone, but the smugglers are changing the statements again and again, due to which the investigation hasn’t reached to any conclusion.
Meanwhile, a team of experts has been sent to Punjab which is conducting raids. Raids are being carried-out at the hideouts of the main kingpin whose name is divulged by three accused during interrogation, so that he can be arrested and brought to Jammu.
Meanwhile, during interrogation, the trio has also revealed that they were paid to ferry the consignment and from arrival till their stay, the full cost of boarding and lodging was paid.
They also admitted that they had earlier also picked and dropped the consignments. They disclosed that they don’t have any identity of the persons from whom they had consignment received or to be delivered. The main kingpin behind them used to give them only location, after which they used to move.
In this case it is being suspected that the goods came through the drone.
Sources told that it has become clear that the goods have come across the border only by drone. The matter is being investigated by SIT formed under the supervision of SP South. All the three arrested accused are residents of Amritsar and have been identified as Sarwan Singh, son of Kala Singh, Malkit Singh, son of Gurmeet Singh and Balbir Singh, son of Balbinder Singh.
