Rs. 21,150 fine realised from erring traders in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The enforcement squad headed by Assistant Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Kashmir conducted market inspections in the Srinagar city and booked erring traders for violating Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
The markets of Batmaloo, Baghat, Hyderpora, Natipora, Bagh-i-Mehtab, Chanapora, Rangreth, Sarai Bala, LD Hospital Road, Maharaja Bazar, Sonwar, Zero Bridge, Nehru Park, Abi Karpora, Boulevard, Soura, Hawal, etc. were inspected during the process.
During the inspection, 328 business establishments were inspected and Rs. 21,150 were recovered as fine from 26 erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
