REASI: A team of Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Rajesh Gupta on Saturday conducted an intensive checking of vehicles at Sudeen, main road Bhambla to Thanda Pani via Kathadian and main road Bhambla to Thanda Pani via Maghai.
During checking drive, a number of buses, mini-buses, trucks and other commercial vehicles were checked for various offences under Motor Vehicles Act and 12 vehicles were challaned while 4 vehicles were compounded and a fine amounting to Rs 13,000 was realised on the spot.
During the intensive checking, defaulters were also imparted awareness about need to follow rules and regulations as provided under Motor Vehicles Act.
