Rs. 119.96 crore district plan for Ramban approved

RAMBAN: The District Development Board that met under the chairmanship of Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli approved a district plan of Rs. 119. 96 crore for the year 2016-17.
Vice Chairman Kissan Advisory Board Daljeet Singh, Vice Chairperson, Advisory Board for Development of Scheduled Castes Bhushan Lal Dogra, legislators Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Vikar Rasool Wani, Neelam Langeh, Sham Lal Bhagat, HoDs of various departments, DIG Ramban-Doda besides other officers were present in the meeting.
The total outlay includes Rs. 44.22 crore to be utilised under RDD, Rs. 5.19 crore under minor irrigation, Rs. 13.78 crore under R&B, Rs. 2.11 crore under general economics services, Rs. 53 Crore under social services including education, health, PHE, ICDS etc. Further its was informed that conducive efforts shall be made for providing better health care, augmentation of water supply, up gradation of roads, creating durable assets under MGNREGA and for expanding sanitation programmes.
The minister directed the officers to submit UCs under CSS on time so that funds are released without any delay. Kohli stressed on complete transparency while implementing various schemes of public importance while ensuring proper monitoring of works on ground.
The minster called for active public participation in the developmental process and said that the synergy between administration and public is vital to ensure that the benefits of developmental programmes and welfare schemes reach grass root level.
