Royal Enfield to recall Himayalan to fix Engine Issues
Royal Enfield Himalayan, the recently launched adventure motorcycle of Royal Enfield is getting recalled in order to fix the engine and clutch issues. The replacement of both the parts will be done free of cost by the authorized dealerships. When and how many models to be recalled are not yet revealed officially.
A common complaint from the Himalayan customers in recent times is that the engine powering the bike is too noisy and though the tappets within the engine have been adjusted, the sound still remains. The company feels that this is because of the issue in the engine’s clutch assembly and rocker shaft.
Himalayan was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and was launched in the month of March at a price of Rs.1.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The iconic motorcycle manufacturer received good responses in the market for Himalayan since its launch. But now, certain engine related issues have been reported often on the bike. To rectify this, few dealers of Royal Enfield have recalled the Himalayan to sort out the issue.
