MENDHAR: Surankote XI defeated Mendhar XI by five wickets and won the trophy of Inter-Tehsil T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), here on Friday.
The tournament showcased the cricketing skills from teams of Tehsil of Poonch District namely Mendhar, Haveli, Surankote and Mandi with players displaying high standards of game which honed the skills of local cricket teams.
The locals lauded the efforts of the army for organising such activities which would generate a feeling of goodwill in the civil population especially the youth. The event was witnessed by school children and eminent persons of the area.
