RAJOURI: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force conducted Pir Panjal Knight Premier League for Cricket and Kho-Kho Games for Thanamandi and Darhal Tehsils of Rajouri District from 22nd to 25th September, 2014 at Thanamandi, District Rajouri.
Six teams of kho-kho and eight of cricket from Darhal and Thanamandi Tehsils took part in the competitions.
Large number of civil dignitaries, villagers and cricket and kho-kho fans witnessed the matches.
The team members expressed gratitude to the armed forces for conducting such tournaments, which would further embolden the bond between Jawan and Awam.
Zonal Sports Officer, Thanamandi, Mohd Yusuf Lone said that the aim of organising such competitions was to promote the sports activities in the region and to create atmosphere of peace and harmony.
