SRINAGAR: Describing the youth as future of the country, JKPCC Chief G.A Mir on Sunday urged upon the youth to remain steadfast in service of the people and in strengthening the country and State, for the fact, country’s future lies with youth. Youth has the responsibility of strengthening the nation and making it free from social evils. The youth will have to play a pivotal role in strengthening the democratic institutions and work with great enthusiasm to ensure overall development of the country and State. PCC Chief was addressing a day long convention organised by Pradesh Youth Congress at Srinagar on Sunday.
Former PCC President Peerzada Mohammad Syed MLA Mohd Amin Bhat PCC Office Bearers, IYC Secretary Dr. Uma Shanker Panday, PYC President Pranav Shagotra, General Secretaries Naseer Ahmad Mir, Amir Rasool who organised the convention along with LYC, AYC Teams, Rajvir, Secretary Balbir, LYC Presidents, AYC Presidents of Kashmir also addressed the convention.
Terming strong youth as a strong nation, Mir appealed the youth to come forward and shoulder the responsibility of strengthening the nation and people to the best of their ability and remain committed to their cause of serving the nation and ensure that future of the country is better and prosperous.
He said youth need to utilize their skills and should work with vigour and vitality for upliftment of people especially poor and downtrodden sections.
Mir told the youth convention to gear up the forthcoming ULB and Panchayat elections and ensure Congress Party’s overwhelming victory in these elections. Mir told the youth to move ahead with an agenda of development, progress, peace and fight against forces exploiting youth for personal benefit.
The PCC chief also administered oath to youth present in the convention. Indian Youth Congress President Raja Amrinder Singh Brar who was the Chief Guest accused Narendra Modi Government for its anti farmer and anti youth policies. He said Central Government is working against the aspirations of the youth and only taking care of the Corporate Sector. He said Congress Party won’t tolerate discrimination or injustice with anyone in the country and would continue to defeat anti people and anti youth policies of Narendra Modi Government.
PYC President Pranav Shagotra while addressing the convention felt confident that Youth Congress in J and K is a vibrant institution. He praised youth Congress leaders and workers for their dedication and hard work in strengthening the party.
