REASI: With a view to spread awareness regarding safe driving and to provide road safety guidance to public, the Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) in association with Amba Kids Katra organised a Road Safety Awareness Drive at Bus Stand Reasi and Bus Stand Katra which was attended by a large number of people at both the locations.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi Rajesh Gupta informed that the programme was organised as a part of the ongoing Special Road Safety Awareness Drive.
A checking drive was also conducted at different locations in Reasi town and about 35 public transport operators were Challaned for violating traffic rules.
Giving details, the ARTO said that technical methods were adopted to guide people about the road safety, adding that a simulator should be used to instruct people about all the basic regulations of driving and safety techniques. People were also sensitised about the road signs and markings used on roads.
