SRINAGAR: National Conference MLC Dr Shehnaz Ganai raised the issue of opening of Poonch Uri Road in the Council.
Dr Ganai demanded opening of one of the favorite and shortest road link to Kashmir- Poonch-Uri and said that once thrown open it will be an all-weather road and shortest route between Poonch and Uri. Dr Ganai while discussing on the issue, said that key to economic development of the area lies in the road network it has, and asked the government to take steps for opening of Poonch Uri Road. Road connectivity between Poonch and Uri will revive the old traditional route and will definitely give boost to the economic development of the area, and will give boost to the tourism in the region.
