50 years ago, even bullock carts had to fix hurricane lamps at the back to indicate their presence. But today, heavy vehicles operate without tail lights or even headlights. There was also a time when riding “doubles” on bicycles was a crime. It is common now to see tiny vans stuffed with people and operating at breakneck speed. There needs to be a revolution as far as changing road behaviour for the better is concerned, which includes stringent fines.
