JAMMU: RM Public School celebrated foundation-cum-prize distribution function with traditional fervour and gaiety at Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, here on Sunday.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) R S Pura, Dr. Gagan Bhagat, Principal GWC Gandhi Nagar, Dr Kiran Bakshi and State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guide, I.D Soni were the Guests of Honour.
Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman of RM Public School, welcomed the guests.
The programme began with traditional lighting ceremony followed by presentation of Ganesh Vandana.
The welcome speech was presented by Rita Mengi Trustee, RM Public School and Annual Report was presented by Ravinder Kour Principal of the School.
Students presented a variety of cultural items including dances, songs and other items. The main attraction was ballet which showed the main theme of the function i.e generation gap between old and new.
The guests awarded the certificates, medals, mementos and cheques to the students who excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities. Dr. P.K Dhar, Principal RM College of Education, presented vote of thanks.
