RAJOURI: Right Club Poonch and Karmara Club Poonch won respective matches of cricket and Kabaddi in the Range Level Sports Festival being organised by Range Police Headquarters at District Police Lines, here on Wednesday.
In opening T20 match, Right Club Poonch defeated Moon Star Rajouri by five wickets. Batting first after winning the toss, Moon Star Rajouri set target of 156 runs in 20 overs. Gulbash was the top scorer with 30 runs. In reply, Right Club Poonch guided with the 59-run knock of Aman win the match by five wickets.
In kabaddi, Karmara Club Poonch defeated Thannamandi Club Rajouri by 70-23.
Earlier, the sport festival was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mohd Suleman Choudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri in the presence of SP (Prob) Sadhanshu Verma, Additional SP Hqrs. Rajouri, Mohd Yousuf, Dy SP Hqrs. Rajouri, Jaswant Singh, Dy SP Ops., Sukhdev Singh and others several civil society members. The Police Sports Mela being organized by Range Hqrs. Rajouri Dy SP DAR DPL Rajouri (Nodal Officer CAP) Kewal Krishan under the supervision of DIG R-P Range Deepak Kumar Slathia.
