JAMMU: A monthly meeting of All J and K ReT Teachers Forum on Sunday held at Exhibition Ground Jammu under the chairman ship of State President Vinod Sharma which was attended by State apex body members and District Presidents.
Vinod demanded immediate release of salary for teachers working under SSA which is pending for last several months. He said that SSA teachers are on the verge of starvation.
Even the HRD Ministry has released more than 400 crore rupees under SSA about 15 days back but the State Finance Department has not released the amount for unknown reason which is a matter of concern.
“The State Government is not releasing the already available amount of HRD Ministry, how can we expect that the state share would be released and the thousands of ReT Teachers would get their 6 to 10 month’ salaries”, he said.
He also sought the release of salary grant of 3rd Teachers whose salary is pending for 2 to 3 months as the process of converting their posts from Plan to non- plan is very slow and they are suffering.
Speakers lambasted the State Government and especially the State Finance Department and Education Department for doing nothing to release the salaries of SSA teachers.
It was unanimously decided to hold one day protest at all the District Headquarters on 10th of June 2015 if the pending salaries are not till 9th June.
Suhkdev Singh, Rajesh Jamwal, Lekh Raj Parihar, Younis Rahi, Subash Chander, Jasbir, Navjot Singh, Manzoor Malik, Naresh Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria, Hans Raj, Vinod Kumar and Rajinder Singh also spoke on the occasion.
