ReT Teachers’ Forum seeks pending salary

JAMMU: All Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers’ Forum on Saturday held protest against the State Government demanding release of 10 month pending salary in favour of ReT teachers working under SSA.
A large number of ReT teachers assembled near exhibition ground Jammu under the State President Vinod Sharma along with Vice President Younis Rahi and Provincial President Rajash Singh Jamwal and raised anti government slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod showed resentment against the State Government which made them suffer for want of release of ten months salary. He said that they had projected this matter before the government so many times but nothing has been done to streamline the SSA salary.
He said that regularized ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for last 3 to 9 months in all the districts of the State and was on the verge of starvation.
State General Secretary Najam Jafri threatened to intensify the stir in near future if their pending salaries are not released at the earliest.
He hoped that the next government may solve this problem and streamline the SSA salary.
Others present were Sajad Malik, Sham Parkash, Sukhdev Singh, Gulzabir Daing, Sukesh Khajuria, Naresh Sharma, Lekh Raj Parihar, Manzoor Khan, Shabir Chowdhary, Balwan Singh, Mahesh Kumar, Pankaj Verma, Suresh Sharma, Ashok Seth, Manzoor Malik, Shahnawaz Hussain and Zakir Bhat.
