STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRTTF) has decided to hold protest against the government on 13th December against the callous attitude of School Education Department for not showing its serious concern towards the problems being faced by the ReT teachers. The decision was taken by the executive body of the forum in a meeting held at Exhibition Ground Jammu under the chairmanship of its Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary.
During the meeting, Tantray lashed out the policies of the Education Department and the present government towards the ReT teachers. He said that despite of so many requests the concerned department and the government are taking deaf ears towards the problems being faced by the ReT teachers. Tantary said that the department and present government are forcing them to come on roads as the salaries of ReT teachers are withheld for the last six months. He appealed to all the ReT teachers of Jammu province to assemble in front of Directorate Office Jammu on 13th December and be part of this protest for their genuine rights.
Others who were present in the meeting include State Vice Chairman Vijay Chalotra, Provincial President Dev Singh, Hamid Nabaaz, Rajesh Paul and Bhadur Singh.
Meanwhile, Vice President J&K ReT Teachers Forum, Bhupinder Singh urged upon the ReT teachers not to join the protest on 13th December as the state government has already agreed to consider the genuine demands by releasing their salaries by December ending. Singh said during his meeting with the authorities concerned, they assured for releasing the salaries of ReT teachers by December ending. He informed that an educational conference will be organised in coming days in which ReT teachers will get a chance to highlight their plights in front of the authorities concerned.
