ReT teachers call on Priya Sethi, discuss issues

SRINAGAR: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum led by its State Vice President, Bhupinder Singh met MoS Education, Priya Sethi here at Civil Secretariat and apprised her about the pending salary of more than 40,000 SSA teachers.
Singh apprised the minister about the pending salaries of SSA teachers who are without salary for the last five months and even so many newly Regularised ReTs have not received their pending arrears till date.
Singh said that despite the assurance given by the ministers for streamlining the salary of SSA teacher but nothing has been done in this regard.
Singh appealed to the Priya Sethi to streamline the salary of SSA teachers within a short span of time failing which the ReT teachers have no other option to come on roads.
The delegation comprised of JKReTTF members Sumit Khajuria, Shabir Ahmed Rah, Sayed Farhat, Abdul Qayoom, Sayed Rigwan, Mushtaq Ahmed Magrey, Surjeet Singh and Arjun Singh.
