RAMBAN: A State level convention was held at Banihal which was organised by Jammu Kashmir Rehbar -e- Taleem Teachers Forum in which members from Srinagar, Jammu and Ramban were also present.
While speaking during the convention speakers highlighted lack of facilities and quality education in government schools in the State. They said that the syllabus books prepared for the primary standard in government schools are beyond the mind of these age groups upto 5th standrard.
Chairman of the Forum Farooq Ahmed Tantary while speaking during the occasion said that maximum teachers of the State are not satisfied with the books prepared for the students from 1st to 5th class. He said that government schools are bound to teach the books which are approved by the JKBOSE where as private schools choose their books with their own choice. He said that there is acute shortage of staff in maximum primary and middle schools in the State specially in rural areas. He said that many zonal schools are without head masters where as ZEOs are having charge of two to three zones.
Chairman of the forum stressed upon the ReT teachers to give their best in their schools using the present infrastructure and facilities so that maximum wards of poor parents are admitted in government schools.
Lecturer Manzoor Ahmed Kamgar, State Advisor Shakeel Zohid, Aftab Nalik, Shafqat Nisar, Seva Singh and District President Farooq Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.
