ReT Forum discusses issues of cadre

UDHAMPUR: A monthly meeting of All J and K ReT Teachers Forum on Sunday was held at Udhampur under the Chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and Distt. President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by a large number of delegates from all eleven zones. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma highlighted the issue of regularisation of distance mode degree holders and KGBV teachers. He said that Education Minister and MOS Education have assured our delegation to regularise all the distance mode degree holders of UGC recognised universities but still the process has not been initiated and the teachers are suffering. He appealed to the Directorate School Education Jammu to speed up the regularisation process and settle the minor issues at the Directorate and unnecessary objections may be ignored. He also demanded the regularisation of left over cases and less enrollment files as already agreed by the director.
Meanwhile the RET Forum in one voice appealed the State Govt. to resolve the chronic issue of SSA salary which is pending for last four to six months and there is also a huge pendency of arrears of these teachers and they have been suffering a lot. He urged for Govt. for streamlining of the same for the welfare of thousands of ReTs / masters (under SSA) of the State, otherwise they will be forced to come on roads. Those who also spoke on the occasion were Bhupinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Anil Sharma, Surjit Singh, Kuldeep Katoch, Mustfa, Aruna Kumari, Rekha Thakur, Suresh Sharma, Viney Sharma and others.
