Resolve issues instead of resorting to tactics: Teachers Forum

JAMMU: J&K Teachers Forum criticised the callous attitude of the Education Department officials who are responsible for delaying the issues like undue delay in release of salary of SSA, RMSA, Head Teachers, RRETs, regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years service, having distance mode degree, withdrawal of quota in higher education in University of Kashmir etc. The Forum warned such officers to display reality instead of resorting to tactics, otherwise teachers forum shall hold a state-wide protest and the responsibility shall lie squarely on these officers.
While speaking at the day-long session Chairman J&K Teachers Forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani stressed upon pursuing an effective policy for the betterment of Education Department improvement of work culture and termed the Department of Education as dignity of teachers and every such step shall be supported which is aimed at the betterment of department action or voice raised against the teachers Forum shall be suppressed and there will be no compromise in all circumstances whatsoever in shaping the career of students and their education while holding protests.
The session regretted that due to irresponsible behaviour and carelessness of higher officers of education the teachers have been deprived of the quota which they had in the Kashmir University for achieving higher education. It was also urged that all the incharge officers be regularized, pay anomaly of Masters and clerical cadre be removed Minimum Wages Act be implemented in favour of contingent paid employees. The session decided to the conventions at District level as per below schedule and after that state level delegation shall be hold at Srinagar.
Wani urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to resolve the issues of employees of Education Department so that the teachers are not constrained to come on roads and instead they shall serve in schools.
