SRINAGAR: In connection with the celebration of Republic Day at Bandipora, a meeting of various departments was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Dr. Shah Faisal here on Tuesday.
It was informed in the meeting that the main function will be held at SK Stadium Bandipora where the celebration will begin with Shahnai Wadan and hoisting of National flag by the chief guest and taking salute at the march past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC and school children of various educational institutions. Cultural programmes would also be presented on the eve of Republic Day.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure power supply, drinking water and cleanliness in and around the venue while R&B department has been asked to make necessary arrangements for erecting the stage along with other logistic arrangements.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Bashir Ahmad Bhat today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers of various departments for making necessary arrangements regarding the celebration of Republic Day 2015.
It was informed in the meeting that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium Batapora, Shopian.
The Deputy Commissioner issued instructions to all the departments to coordinate in putting up necessary arrangements for the celebration of the Republic Day 2015 well in the time. The departments of Information, R&B, PHE, PDD, Irrigation, Mechanical Engineering Wing, Municipal Committee, Police were assigned their respective jobs for putting up of necessary arrangements at the venue of function.
The Senior Superintendent of Police Shopian was impressed upon to make adequate security arrangements on day of rehearsal and on the day of National event.
The officers of School Education and Youth Services & Sports departments were enjoined to prepare students for presenting various cultural Programmes on the occasion.
The function will start with Shahnai Wadan and hosting of National flag by the chief guest and taking salute at the march past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children of various educational institutions. A full dressed rehearsal will be held on January 24, 2015 at the venue of function.
