‘Remove pay anomalies of clerical cadre’

JAMMU: Reiterating its demand of removing pay anomalies, clerical employees on Friday observed complete pen down strike in all the government offices, PSU’s, semi government offices across all the district headquarters of Jammu Division including Kathua, Udhampur, Samba, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Ramban, Doda and Leh and Kargil on the call given by Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association.
In Jammu, the strike was led by Association President, Babu Hussain Malik, the clerical staff assembled outside Udhyog Bhawan and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The clerical cadre demanded removal of pay anomalies, DPC in all departments after every six months, implementation of Seventh Pay Commission and increase of medical allowance from Rs 300 to 2,000 per month. The agitating employees in one voice appealed to the government to consider the genuine demands of clerical cadre. Among those who joined the protest include Bharat Bushan, Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Ashok Singh, Javed Akhoon, Yash Paul Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Ansuya Gupta, Seva Ram Rathore, Munish Sharma, Vishwa Bandhu, Farida Bano, Vikas Chander, Mohd Lateef, Vikas Sharma, Mukhtyar Singh, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Mohd Sadiq, Arun Sharma, Lekh Raj, Naresh Sharma, Prakash, Kapil Gupta, Uday Singh Pathania, Sandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Ranbir Singh, Darshan Angurana, Sham Lal, Sudershan Singh, Ali Mohd, Mangal Singh, Rafiq Mohd, Mohd Yaqoob Bhat, Feezo Jawahar Bashir, Vipan Bangroo, Mohan Lal and Sanjeev Singh Jarnwal.
In district headquarters, the strike was led by Mohd Issac in Doda, Mansoor Ahmad in Kishtwar, Babu Ram in Rajouri, Rajesh Ajnabi in Reasi, Kuldeep Kumar in Kathua, Ravinder Singh in Poonch, Balwan Singh in Samba, Mohd Aslam Parray in Ramban, Ashok Vir Singh in Udhampur, Tashi Choswal in Leh and Mukhtiar Khan in Kargil.
