Remembering mulberry!

0 71

Dear Editor,
During my childhood days, there was an octogenarian, who had a plenty of mulberry plantations around his house. Children would spend their afternoons perched in the mulberry trees laden with ripe fruit. Once he asked my parents to serve him Pakoras prepared with freshly plucked mulberry leaves. My parents were kind enough to render services to the old man. He had a few pieces and offered the rest to children. The next day, I heard elders whispering, “he went quite peacefully”. Today, when I have turned grey and I notice children sitting in the same way, the memories of the old man instantly come to my mind.
