Relief Organisation harassing relief holders: ASKPC
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: In an extraordinary meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) , the president Ravinder Raina came down heavily on the functioning of the Relief Organization.
Raina said the organization is un-necessary harassing the relief holders and issuing irrelevant orders from time to time as is evident that internally Displaced relief holders are compelled to open their account in J&K Bank as if they are the employees of the State govt; and are supposed to collect the pay dues from J&K Bank only.
He said it is ironical on the part of Relief Organization as Relief amount is being released out of Internal Security Head of Central govt. and State Govt. stands for its disbursement only.
The State Govt. has to pay more attention towards the welfare of the internally displaced community rather than putting them in un-necessary harassments.
The Senior Vice President R.K.Wangnoo appealed to the concerned authority to direct the Officer concerned to have by-weekly visits to the various camps to mitigate the problems of the Community as ORT’s allotted to the displaced persons are in dilapidated conditions and the same require immediate repairs. C.L.Bhat Vice President and General Secretary Dr. T.K Bhat appealed to the Central Government to facilitate the Pilgrimage visit of Mata Sharda Temple in POK. He also pointed out that the temple is in dilapidated condition and need repair.
Other members who also endorsed their views were Veena Gurtoo President Women Wing , S.K.Raina, B.K Mujoo, B.L.Handoo, Kusum Koul and Ashok Dhar.
