Relief material distributed by judicial officers
UDHAMPUR: A large number of people afflicted with loss due to the havoc wreaked by the heavy rains in the first week of September 2014 which triggered landslides and flash floods at many places in district Udhampur, received relief material in the shape of articles of daily use under the personal initiative of Chief Justice of J and K High Court, Justice M. M Kumar.
The relief material in the shape of eatables, clothes including woolens, shawls, jackets and blankets etc. were distributed amongst the affected people by judicial officers of Districts Udhampur under the overall supervision of Principal District and Sessions Judge Udhampur.
The relief material was distributed at village Panjar ,Pathi, Sui-Sambal, Jaganoo, Doob –Dooba Basti Jakhani of Tehsil Udhampur by Chief Judicial Magistrate and District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Udhampur.
In the Chenani Tehsil, the relief material was distributed under the supervision of Munsiff Chenani amongst the affected people of Village Chasku, Dharamthal , Mada , Chalyar, Chirdi and Ghawal.
Similarly in the Tehsil Ramnagar, the relief material was distributed under the supervision of Sub-Judge Ramnagar amongst the affected People of Village Chatrari, Amorh and Kulawanta and in the Tehsil Majalta relief material was distributed under the supervision of Munssif Majalta amongst the affected people of Village Majalta, Katheel, Peoni, Bharnara, Plater, Thial, Jagwal, Chiani, Palnoo, Thalora, Manwal, Bhati Barigarh and Battal Morh.
The personal initiative of Chief Justice of J and K High Court Justice M.M Kumar was appreciated by the people affected in the natural disaster.
