RAMBAN: Traffic Police Ramban on Monday organised an awareness programme on 26th week road safety at Ramban. SSP Traffic Kotwal, ACR Ramban, ARTO and Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban participated.
SSP Traffic said that Traffic Police now a days has incorporated certain innovative techniques and capacity building programmes which are aimed at minimizing the rate of accidents happening on and off on the roads adding that people should drive keeping in mind all traffic rules and regulations which are basically meant to curb the accidents happening on the roads. He instructed the drivers present in the camp to drive not in a stressful condition and take cue from the innumerable road signages so that traffic jamming and incidence of accidents can be arrested.
ACR, ALC and ARTO in their addresses stressed upon the participants to help the administration and police in making the roads free from all cumbersomeness. They sought suggestions and valuable ideas so that the whole traffic related issue can be tackled effectively.
SSP Traffic informed that Traffic Police shall be holding road safety awareness camps in the schools so that this message of road safety can be taken to all households.
