Reasi Police organises Volleyball tournament, debate competitions

REASI: To provide platform to the youth of far flung areas of District Reasi, District Police organized Volleyball tournament and debate competitions on drug abuse at remote areas of Mahore and Chassana in district Reasi under Civic Action Programme.
Six volleyball teams from Mahore area participated in the event and played league matches on knock out basis. Adbase Mahore Team clinched the winner trophy and cash prize whereas Bagga Mahore Team stands runner up in the event.
Reasi Police also organised debate competitions on drug abuse at Chassana and Govt HSS Mahore to create awareness among students about ill effects of drugs. A total of 26 students from different schools of Chassana and Mahore participated in the debate competitions at both the places.
Among the participants at Chassana Humaira Sudhan of HSS Channa declared as Ist , Ritul of HSS Gota stood 2nd and Ponam Kumari of HSS Channa and Shakoor Ahmed of HSS Channa were awarded third positions. In debate competition at mahore Sajjad Ahamad class 12th stand 1st , Narinder singh class 10th stands 2nd and Mussart Naz class 12th got the third position.
SDPO Mahore, SHO Mahore, SHO Chassana alongwith other prominent persons, public representatives, distributed the prizes among the winner students with trophies along with participation certificates.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta conveyed that such events are conducted by Reasi Police at remote areas of Reasi district under Civic Action Programme to provide platform to local youth to engage them in sports activities and debate competitions for creating awareness among them to stay away from drugs abuse and build successful careers in future.
