REASI: Jammu and Kashmir Weightlifting Association on Tuesday opened the training facility within the Indoor Complex of J&K Sports Council at Sports Stadium, here.
The complete training facility was handed over to the manager of the Indoor Complex by the J&K Association in the presence of District Reasi Association president, Gurmaz Singh.
Earlier, President J&K Weightlifting Association J&K, Harbajan Singh and General Secretary, Yudhvir Singh declared open the training centre with the sole aim to promote the game in district Reasi.
Besides Manager Sports Stadium, Reasi, Dalbir Mehta, coaching and ground staff was also present.
Important to mention here that to promote the game of weightlifting in left out pockets of the country, the Weightlifting Association of India provides equipment through State/UT Associations to such places so as to boost the prospects of the game.
