Reasi District Volleyball Championship: Hurricane & Kalika Volleyball Clubs Judda reach final

REASI: The two day Reasi District Volleyball Championship Commenced on Thursday at General Zorawar Singh Stadium Reasi. The championship is organised for the first time since emergence of Reasi District from erstwhile Udhampur district under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Sports Council to promote sports in general and volleyball game in particular in every nook and corner of JK UT.
In all 8 teams drawn from different parts of Reasi District participated in the championship which include Mama Volleyball Club Judda, Hurricane Volleyball Club Pouni etc. from far off areas. At the outset Naresh Kumar Volleyball Coach administrated pledge to all participants to play volleyball game in the true sportsman spirit.
Iftkhar qureshi Dysp HQs, Reasi formally inaugurated the championship and thanked Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir for corporating Reasi District in Volleyball Arena of JK UT. Qureshi also unveiled the programme of police being undertaken under civic action program in the district to channelize the energies of youth towards sports and drug de addiction.
Vijay Kumar magotra, General secretary VAJK disclosed that association is conducting volleyball championship in all districts of JK UT. Prior to participation of districts team in JK UT Volleyball Championship shortly being held at Jammu.
Magotra also expressed gratitude to department of youth services and sports, JK sports council and sports lovers of Reasi District for making the championship possible .
The Chief Guest was honoured with memento on the occasion. Vijay Kumar SHO Reasi guest of honour was also presented memento on the occasion.
The event was supervised under Naresh kumar, Pankaj Sharma, Karan Rajput, Riaz while matches was officiated by Parvinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar (referee) and Keshav (scorer).
Result of matches
City Vb Club Reasi defeated Kalika Club by 2-1 (28-26, 23-25, 15-10)
Hurricane Club defeated Mama Club by 2-1( 24-26,25-23,15-12)
Salal Vb Club defeated Polytechnic Club by 2-0(25-12,25-16)
Sailanjan Vb Club defeated GDC Pouni by 2-0(25-17,25-18)
In first semifinal Kalika Vb Club defeated Salal Vb club by 2-0(25-16,25-20) and in second semifinal hurricane Vb Club defeated Sailanjan Vb Club by 2-0(25-17,25-22)
Final match will be played tomorrow (6 January)between Kalika Volleyball Club vs Hurricane Volleyball Club. .Rajput of hurricane volleyball club Pouni, Vipan of Kalika club played outstanding in their respective matches.
