RD & Kishore Fan Club completes 30 years: Artists at ‘Evergreen Kishore’ leave audience spellbound

JAMMU: On the completion of 30 years of RD Burman and Kishore Kumar Fan Club established by versatile singer and music composer Sunil Kumar, a live music concert-‘Evergreen Kishore’ was organised here on Saturday at JK Public School where Sunil himself and other artists performed for a audience that left them spellbound.
The music concert was organized in collaboration with STATE TIMES and Nindiya Mattress.
The scintillating performance of artists was highly appreciated by the audience who were taken back to the era of 70s when Kishore and R.D Burman sang most of film songs.
Established since 1993, R D and Kishore Fan Club had so far now performed thousands of shows spread across more than seven states of the country and at various auditoriums.
Known as Kishore Kumar of J&K, Sunil Sharma had also been doing philanthropic work by generating funds for Kashmir floods, Kerala floods and martyrs of Pulwama attack besides other social causes.
Sunil Sharma enthralled the audience with his melodious singing. His songs Jai Jai Shiv Shanker, Chalte Chalte Mere Yeh Geet Yaad Rakhna and others were highly applauded by all present in the auditorium.
Former Minister, Priya Sethi, BJP J&K vice president Yudhvir Sethi, Editor-in-Chief STATE TIMES, Raj Daluja, Chairman Nindiya Mattress, Ajay Anand, besides many prominent citizens and business community members were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Editor-in-Chief STATE TIMES, Raj Daluja said that voice of Sunil Sharma of RD and Kishore Fan Club, Jammu is a voice that bears close resemblance to that of legendary singer Kishore Kumar.
Appreciating Sunil Sharma as singer, Raj Daluja also described Sunil Sharma’s unique quality of promoting and encouraging the young and budding talent. Raj Daluja also presented a memento to Sunil Sharma.
He also appreciated singers who performed during the concert and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. He said that the way Sunil Sharma encourages new talent is highly appreciable.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Priya Sethi said that artists are God made and this talent not only connects people but also sends in a message of peace and prosperity that Jammu and Kashmir needs.
She said all those artists who performed at the concert deserve special applause for their talent.
She also appreciated Raj Daluja for encouraging artists and especially R D and Kishore Fan Club owner Sunil Sharma who had been keeping the voices of RD and Kishore alive since past over 30 years.
Yudhvir Sethi in his address blessed Sunil Sharma for his music shows and keeping yesteryears musical hits of the legendary Bollywood singers, Kishore Kumar and R.D Burman alive.
