RCC wins opening tie in Baisakhi Tri-Series

JAMMU: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) won the inaugural match beating Janipur Cricket Club (JCC) by six wickets in the Fourth Baisakhi Twenty20 Tri-Series League, organised by Vishal Club Jammu at Parade Ground, here on Tuesday.
Batting first, after winning the toss, JCC set a target of 138 runs for eight wickets with Arjun (37), Hunny (34) and Deepak Dogra (26) being main scorers.
Satish Singh took three wickets for RCC while Kuldeep secured two. Dilbag, Sahil and Parveen shared one wicket each.
In reply, RCC achieved the target in 19 overs for the loss of four wickets. Satish remained top scorer with 43 runs while Ridham and Parveen contributed 24 and 23 runs respectively. Deepak took two wickets while Sawan and Sachin shared apiece each for Janipur Club.
Satish was adjudged Man of the Match for his superb batting.
The match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sahil and Sanju.
Earlier, Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Simrandeep Singh declared open the tournament. He was accompanied at the inaugural by member Standing Committee of State Sports Council, Ranjeet Kalra, former Ranji cricketer, Rajesh Gill and R.P Singh.
In this Tri-series three teams namely Rainawari Cricket Club, Janipur Cricket Club and Vishal Cricket Club are
participating.
The organising committee included Ranjeet Kalra, Vinay Gupta, Satwant Singh, RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal, Vivek Sharma, Rajesh Dhar, Anand Tripathi, David Mattoo, Asif Gill, Sunny Gill, Surinder Bagal, Rajesh Sharma, Dheeraj and Ankit Sharma.
