DODA: In contest, Kuldeep Kumar’s fine spell of bowling with five wickets guided Raina Cricket Club (RCC) Bhadarwah team to registered win against Shahid Cricket Club (SCC) Doda by 44 runs in the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 held at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda in collaboration with Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier RCC Bhadarwah, batting first, set a low target of 122 runs for the loss of eight wickets in stipulated 18 overs game. Praveen made 37 runs while Vijay Dogra added 27 to the total. For SCC Doda, Irshad picked two wickets and Rasik took one.
In reply, SCC Doda failed to chase the target and was bundled out for just 78 runs in 13.1 overs. Abid Nabi (21) and Puneet (11) runs were the main scorers.
For RCC Bhadarwah, Kuldeep bowled a fine spell and managed to get five important wickets while Rohit Sharma, Rahil and Satish shared one wicket each.
Kuldeep Kumar of RCC Bhadarwah team was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Dr Tariq Masood, District Health Officer Doda along with Manager YSCC Doda Mehboob Kraipak.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jajuriya, Rinku Bhaduria and Ashok Sharma.
