RCC Bhadarwah to face FCC Ghat in Gufran T20 final

DODA: Raina Cricket Club (RCC) Bhadarwah and Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat crushed rivals in their respective matches and registered berth in the final of ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 held at Sports Stadium, here on Wednesday. The tournament is being organised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda. Earlier, in the first semi final, RCC Bhadarwah, batting first, set a target of 187 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Satish played an inning of 76 runs followed by Rakesh Kumar, who added 57 runs to the total. For Everest Bhalessa, Ishtiaq Rasool took three wickets while Yasir Rather picked two. In reply, Everest Bhalessa could not manage to chase the target and was bundled out for 132 runs in 19.1 overs. Irshad Batt (31) and Yasir Rather (21) runs were the main scorers. For RCC Bhadarwah, Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep and Rahit Singh shared two wickets each. Satish of RCC Bhadarwah team was declared as Man of the Match for his best batting performance. In the second semifinal, FCC Ghat, batting first, set a target of 134 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Gourav Gambhir (34) and Rahul Sharma (27) runs were the top scorers. For Youth Cricket Club (YCC) Bhadarwah, Jansheed Sheikh scalped three wickets while Mudassir and Arshad Sunny shared two each.
In reply, YCC Bhadarwah failed to chase the target and was bowled out for 121 runs in 19.3 overs. Amir Rather and Mudassir Rather were the main scorers with 33 and 28 runs. For FCC Ghat, Ankit and Bharat Veer shared shared three wickets each while Varun took two and Vikas claimed one wicket. Vikas of Friends Cricket Club Ghat was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi, Principal GDC Bhadarwah. The matches were officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jajuriya, Waseem Raja and Ashok Sharma.
