Rather inaugurates community centre
BUDGAM: Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Ab Rahim Rather on Tuesday asserted that his cherished dream to make the Chrar-i-Sharief constituency as a model constituency has almost fructified adding that there was hardly any habitation left in the area where pleasant winds of development have not touched during the last six years of the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government.
Addressing public gatherings, after inaugurating Rs 40 lakh Community Centre cum Panchayat Ghar at Badipora and Rs 6 cr. two lane Sogam-Badopora bridge in district Budgam, Rather said that provision of all the basic facilities to the people at their door steps with equal opportunities of development and justice to all is mission of his life adding that no stone would be left unturned to come up to the expectations of the people. He said he has with utmost honesty and obligation put in every possible effort continuously since last 37 years to uplift the living standard of the people of this socially and educationally backward constituency adding that Chrar-i-Sharief is perhaps, the first hilly and kandi constituency of the state which has almost 100 per cent road connectivity with highest number of medium and major bridges, adequate number of Health centres and a wide network of educational institutions comprising government colleges, higher and high schools.
Rather cautioned the people against false propaganda of vested elements, which he said, were trying to hoodwink public opinion against the landmark achievements of the Omar led coalition government. He asked people to elect honest and dedicated candidates on the basis of their performance and out rightly reject opportunistic elements who want to grab power only to satiate their petty interests.
