Ranjit interacts with Masters Handball teams

JAMMU: Former India captain and SSP with J&K Police, Ranjit Singh on Tuesday interacted with senior Handball teams preparing for the National Masters Games and Sports Events scheduled to be held at Goa from February 6 at Arun Sharma Handball Academy grounds, here.
Ranjit, who was one of the top India player of his times, enquired about the level of competition and participating teams.
He also encouraged those young female trainees of Arun Sharma Handball Academy at S D Sabha School grounds. Ranjit was happy to know that young boys and girls train under flood lights at the fast growing Academy.
While the women team is led by skipper, Anju Singh as captain while Nitu Gupta and Premila Rajput have been made manager and coach respectively. Similarly, in men category, former India player, Akshay Khajuria has been appointed captain and Rakesh Dogra manager of the team. Bachan Dogra has been entrusted with the job of coach by the Masters Games and Sports Association of J&K.
Meanwhile, the Association also presented Ranjit Singh a team jersey as a souvenir.
