Rangshala stages Albert Camus’s play Arth-Dosh

JAMMU: Rangshala Theatre Group of Society on Wednesday staged Albert Camus’s play Arth-Dosh in Hindi translated by Dr Sharad Chandra in Annual Theatre Festival 2017-18, organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Abhinav Theatre Jammu.
The play was conceived and directed by the Ace Director of State, Umesh Singh. The play revolves around Martha and her mother who together with a taciturn old man, run a guest-house in which they murder rich solitary travellers. Martha wants to get enough money to go and live by the sea. Mother is exhausted by killing.
Rekha Sharma as mother, Naina Bhagey as Martha, Shivani Wazir as Maria, Love Anand as John impressed the audience with their full involvement in the characters while Rakesh K ‘Mayus’ as oldman stole the whole show by playing mute character of the play.
Today’s production was very impressively designed and the audience presented on the occasion appreciated the technique adopted while designing of the play as being theatrical, the visualisation was being shown on Silver Screen on the other hand, the music was also very much impressive and boosting the play.

Mayus (Music/Visuals & GFX), Abhishek Singh (Props), Chanchal Dogra (Production Manager), Siddharth Singh (Lights), Rummy Kumar (Overall In-chage), Gautam Singh (Assistant Director) and Veena Dogra Chief Advisor.
