Randhawa starts development work

JAMMU: MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa on Wednesday kick-started the construction work of a verandah adjoining a temple at Bahu Fort in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment. A delegation from Bahu Fort, Ward No-47 called upon Ch Vikram Randhawa and demanded construction of a verandah adjoining to a temple. He released Rs 2.5 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the construction of the same.
While kick-starting the construction of the veranda, Randhawa said that he has kept his promise and got this happen. He said religious places provide a human being peace which is very important in the present lifestyle, hence, temples, mosques, churches and Gurudwaras need to be well equipped so that one can sit and feel the silence.
The locals appreciated and thanked Ch Vikram for his support in getting this verandah constructed and assured him full support in the coming future.
Those who were present on the occasion included Sharda Devi, Dalbir Singh, Subash Chander, Rajinder Kumar, Sagar Kumar, Krishan Chand, Jarnail Singh and Bodh Raj.
