SRINAGAR: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Nizamudin Bhat has urged the government to make elaborate arrangements for upcoming Holy Month of Ramadhan for which all the allied departments including Public Distribution System (PDS), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD) must be roped in to ensure that people are provided with better amenities.
Bhat said that the Holy Month of Ramzan is about to begin within days for which government must make arrangements for all essential supplies, including LPG, k-oil, rice , sugar etc on all the supply depots.
He said that adequate steps should be taken for sanitation and health care and adequate power supply ensured particularly during Iftaar and Sehri hours so that people don’t face any hardships.
Hailing the move of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to purchase additional power supply to tide over the crisis especially during Ramzan, Bhat urged for adequate supply of water and other supplies during Iftaar and Sehri hours. He said that steps should be taken to ensure proper sanitation and health care during Ramadhan month in and around mosques and other religious places.
