Ramzan inaugurates Tehsil Office
KUPWARA: Minister for Consumer Affairs, Public Distribution and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan inaugurated the Tehsil Office at Villgam of Handwara constituency on Wednesday created newly by the government aimed to provide the basic services to the public of the area besides solving their day to day problems.
In this connection a function was organised by the locals where the Minister for CAPD and Transport was the Chief Guest.
The minister highlighted the initiatives taken by the present government, headed by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, for eradicating poverty and un-employment besides improving life standard of the people of the State. He said road connectivity, transport, healthcare, drinking water, electricity facilities remained high on the agenda of present government.
Referring to the public demands, Ramzan assured people that their genuine demands would be resolved as per their wishes in phased manner,
Talking about the recent floods, the minister hailed the role of volunteers of Kupwara District who saved the precious lives of the people trapped in flood areas at Srinagar.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Handwara Peer Muzaffar Ahmad, Police, Tehsil level officers, representatives of PRIs and locals were present on the occasion.
