SAMBA: Ramgarh and Purmandal zones won their respective matches to move into the next round of the inter-zone district level under-19 boys cricket tournament of district Samba, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Kehli Ground, here on Wednesday.
In the first match, Ramgarh Zone outplayed Ghagwal Zone by a margin of six runs. Sahil Magotra played fine innings of 37 runs and was declared Man of the Match. In another match of the day, Purmandal Zone defeated Samba Zone by 25 runs. Amit Singh was named Man of the Match.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Deputy Director (Central) DYSS, Kanchan Bala. She was accompanied by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
