Ramban tops crime control in J&K

RAMBAN: Ramban District topped in the performance in J and K for the second consecutive year in crime control and disposal of cases which was disclosed by DIG, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban (DKR), Range Nisar Ahmed while speaking on the occasion of police function at Ramban on Monday.
While addressing a gathering of police personnel of all ranks, DIG Nisar claimed that “the Ramban District has proved to have controlled the crime in the best way and also in the disposal of crime related cases most expeditiously”.
Actually, earlier the Director General of Police, J and K,K.Rajindra was to address all ranks of police personnel in this police function in the morning today and listen to their grievances besides attending a meeting with the senior police officers of Ramban District while on his way to attend similar programmes in Doda and Kishtwar today.
But owing to the delay in the take off of his chopper from Jammu due to the fog he had to cancel his programme at Ramban and had to proceed to Doda today afternoon.
Then on his directions DIG, Nisar was asked to preside over the police function in presence of other senior officers of police, Indian Reserve Police and Traffic Police.
He also listened to the grievances of some of the police personnel on spot.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG emphasised on the observance of discipline as the top most priority followed by ever-alertness and gaining public confidence besides avoiding collateral damage during any operation.
The SSP Ramban Randep Kumar, Commandant IRP Bn 9th, ASP Mushtaq Ahmed Choudhary, SP IRP Bn 9th, Surjeet Kumar , SP IRP Bn 9 th Suesth Chib, DSP(Hq), Mohammed Rafiq, SDPO, Banihal, Mohammed Rafiq Choudhary, DSP(Gool),Vipan Chandran, DSP(DAR) Mohammed Tufail Mir, DSP (Telecom.) and DSP Traffic Kameshwar Puri were also present on the occasion.
