Ramban Khel Mela concludes;Ramban Warrior lifts volleyball title, Ukhral grabs kabaddi

RAMBAN: Ramban Warrior defeated Sangaldan Champs by 2-0 sets in the final and lifted volleyball title whereas Ukhral team grabbed kabaddi trophy by defeating Banihal in the final played on the closing day of the Khel Mela organised by District Police Ramban at DPL, here on Sunday.
Mohd Aaqib Mir clinched first position in the cross country race wherein around 50 players participated. In closing ceremony, Mushtaq Choudhary, Additional Superintendent of Police, Ramban was Chief Guest who said that such events are organised by J and K Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) in order to channelise youth energy in right direction and to keep them physically and mentally fit as well as to keep them away from drug menace. He said such events shall ensure improved police public relations and maintaining communal harmony. During the Khel Mela around 850 players from different corner of district Ramban participated in seven games. The Chief Guest along with other distinguished guests gave away the cash prizes and trophies to the winner and runners up teams. Besides others, Mohd Rafiq, Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban, Mohd Taffail Mir, Dy.SP DAR, Inspr. Daljeet Singh, SHO Chanderkot and Inspr. Naveen Angral, SHO PS Ramban were also present.
