The issue of Ram mandir at Ayodhya has been hanging fire for the past many decades. With the BJP at the helm of affairs at the Centre as well as in UP, this issue can be resolved amicably. The offer of mediation by the CJI is pragmatic and healthy for the social fabric of India . Diversity is the character of India and communal harmony synthesises it. It is heartening that Muslim religious leaders are keen to resolve the issue and have expressed the desire to abide by the decision of the apex court. But if the issue is settled out of court with mutual understanding, it would be inspirational.
