SAMBA: Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore Bridge, NH1, Samba on Saturday organised a Rakhi making competition for the students. Students from all classes participated in the celebration and made colorful Rakhis which got appreciation of all the teachers. The motive behind organising this competition is to enhance the skills of creativity, competence and nurturing their inner talents.
All the students made beautiful Rakhis with the help of colourful ribbons and decorative material. The whole activity was conducted under the guidance of Nisha Art and Craft Teacher. The teachers of toddler’s kingdom also participated in this competition with zeal and zest. Later, the Rakhis were handed over to all the students with a purpose that on Raksha Bandan day they will tie that Rakhis to their brothers. A.K Kapoor, Chairman of the School, was the Chief Guest of the event and appraised about the importance of Raksha Bandhan.
The competition was concluded with distribution of prizes in which Harsh Class 7th got first prize, Akankshi Class 5th got second prize and Rudra Class 1st got third prize.
Meanwhile Displaying the festival of bond of love between brother and sister, Government Middle School Badla Brahmana Zone Vijaypur celebrated Raksha Bandan in school premises. The programme comprised of cultural as well as educational themes. In spite of adverse weather condition the school administration decided to continue with same plan. The celebrated started with drawing competition. In which students three houses participated, Asha devi of class sixth students was adjudged as winner and Shoba Devi was awarded second prize. Thereafter the main celebration of Raksha Bandan began by tying of Rakhi to Headmaster Ram Dass and was followed by other students.
The sisters tied to the Rakhis to brothers and offered sweets and brother offered gift for new bond of love between brothers and sisters. Thereafter light refreshment was given to all; in the next round the debate competition was also held at school premises on the theme of Raksha Bandan. Twelve students of the three houses participated. In which Dalir Singh student of Class 8th got first Mansi Devi and Vanshika Khajuria got second prize and Jyoti Sharma jointly stood third. The prize was given to the all winners of debate competition and drawing completion. In the last part of the celebration the students showed dance performances.
The teachers present on this occasion including Ranjeet Singh Surinder Kumar, Mangal Singh , Shama Devi and Ankush Khajuria.
